Two Punjab Police Constables Fired Over TikTok Video at Station

Lahore police have terminated two constables after an inquiry confirmed they recorded a TikTok video inside the Model Town police station during duty hours — a move officials labeled a major violation of discipline and the Police Order.

Investigators found that Constables Shahid and Usman filmed the clip while in uniform and within the official premises. The video later circulated widely on social media, prompting senior leadership to take action.

🔴 Dismissal After Inquiry

Police officials said the behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable, adding that officers in uniform are bound by strict conduct rules. A formal dismissal report has been added to records at the Model Town police station.

A spokesperson emphasized that police stations are not venues for social media content and warned that any similar misconduct in the future will result in swift disciplinary measures.

🧾 Separate Case Registered

In a related development, an FIR has been registered against Constable Muhammad Aqeel Noor, who was working as a computer operator at the SDPO Muslim Town Circle office.

He is accused of operating a social media account that posted content critical of state institutions and material linked to a banned organization.

Officials said a technical audit confirmed Aqeel administered the account himself. The case has been filed under Section 155-C of the Police Order at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal police station.

Senior police officers stated that the department will not tolerate misuse of social media by serving officers, especially content that could damage state institutions or public trust. Additional legal action is expected following the investigation.
