The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is facing fresh criticism after reports revealed that no professional photographer has been appointed for the ongoing President’s Grade-I One-Day Cup 2025/26 — a major domestic List A competition.
With no official photographer on duty, the entire 31-match tournament will proceed without professional photographic coverage, leaving performances undocumented and reducing visibility for emerging players.
Cricket observers say the lapse raises concerns about PCB’s efforts to market domestic cricket and highlight young talent. Without quality visuals, players lose opportunities for media exposure, profiles, and long-term recognition.
The Grade-I One-Day Cup began on 8 December across four Karachi venues, featuring eight departmental teams in a single-league round-robin format. Semi-finals are scheduled for 22–23 December, followed by the final on 25 December.
Defending champions State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) are joined by Ghani Glass, KRL, OGDCL, PTV, Sahir Associates, SNGPL, and WAPDA.
While photography arrangements remain absent, the PCB has ensured full match coverage through live streaming — via Tapmad for viewers in Pakistan and the PCB YouTube channel for international audiences. All league fixtures are day matches with toss at 9:00 AM and first ball at 9:30 AM.
Players will be competing for Rs. 5 million in prize money for the champions and Rs. 2.5 million for the runners-up, along with individual awards for top batter, bowler, wicketkeeper, and player of the tournament.
