The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has extended the deadline for submitting proposals for its two upcoming franchises, moving the due date from 15 December to 22 December.
As part of the tender requirements, interested bidders must submit two proposed team names along with logos and design concepts.
The two new franchises for PSL 11 are now close to being finalized. Earlier reports suggested that Inverex Solar Group has emerged as a leading contender, with its potential team expected to represent Faisalabad or Rawalpindi. The renewable energy company has maintained a long-standing relationship with the PCB and PSL as a sponsor for nearly a decade.
There is also growing interest from the Aga Khan Group, which is said to be evaluating the opportunity to own a franchise that could be based in Gilgit.
The reserve price for each new team is expected to be around Rs. 1.25 billion, though the figure may rise due to strong domestic and international participation. Sources indicate that at least five major Pakistani companies — including real estate and solar sector groups familiar with cricket sponsorship — are preparing to bid.
Additionally, two US-based entrepreneurs and investors from the UK and Europe are also expected to join the process. The PCB plans to announce the two new teams in January, once all tender submissions and evaluations are complete.
