The Islamabad Traffic Police (CTP) has launched a Good Citizen Campaign to encourage responsible driving and improve road discipline in the federal capital.
Under the initiative, drivers who consistently obey traffic rules—such as following speed limits, stopping at red lights, wearing seat belts, and using helmets—will receive Good Citizen stickers. These stickers, displayed on vehicles, identify law-abiding motorists.
QR Code System for Verification
The stickers feature QR codes, enabling traffic authorities to verify and track compliant drivers. This digital system helps officials recognize responsible motorists and maintain a record of adherence to traffic laws.
Incentives for Compliant Drivers
Drivers awarded the Good Citizen stickers will enjoy several special benefits, including:
-
Priority service at traffic police facilitation centers
-
Dedicated counters for faster processing of fines, registrations, and other services
CTP officials said the campaign aims to reward responsible behavior while promoting voluntary compliance with traffic regulations.
Goal: Safer Roads and Better Traffic Flow
Authorities hope the initiative will:
-
Improve traffic discipline
-
Reduce violations and accidents
-
Foster cooperation between motorists and traffic police
The Good Citizen Campaign forms part of Islamabad’s broader road safety and modernization drive, which includes technology-assisted enforcement and community engagement programs.
