Public Holiday Declared Again in Sindh After Christmas

The Sindh government has announced another public holiday, further extending the holiday stretch following December 25 and 26.

According to an official notification issued by the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department, Saturday, December 27, 2025, has been declared a public holiday across Sindh.

The holiday will be observed on the occasion of the death anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

🏛️ Who Will Observe the Holiday

The holiday will apply to:

  • All provincial government offices

  • Autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies

  • Corporations and local councils under Sindh government control

However, essential services will remain operational.

📅 Four Consecutive Holidays in Sindh

With this announcement, Sindh residents will now enjoy four consecutive holidays:

  • December 25 (Thursday): Quaid-e-Azam Day

  • December 26 (Friday): Christmas (for Christian community)

  • December 27 (Saturday): Benazir Bhutto Death Anniversary

  • December 28 (Sunday): Weekly holiday

This extended break is expected to impact official working schedules, travel plans, and public services across the province.

The notification was issued from Karachi and signed by the Chief Secretary Sindh, confirming the province-wide closure for December 27.
