The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced extended operating hours at its Shahrah-e-Quaideen Registration Center in Karachi, aiming to improve access to essential registration services for citizens.
According to NADRA, the revised schedule will take effect from December 22, with the center operating in two shifts daily.
Under the new timings:
-
Morning Shift: 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
-
Evening Shift: 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm
This means the center will now remain open from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm every day.
Why NADRA Extended the Timings
Officials said the decision was taken to reduce congestion, minimize waiting times, and facilitate citizens who are unable to visit NADRA offices during standard working hours due to jobs or other commitments.
The extended hours are expected to particularly benefit:
-
Working professionals
-
Daily wage earners
-
Citizens requiring urgent CNIC-related services
Public Advisory
NADRA has advised citizens to visit during off-peak hours when possible and to ensure they carry required documents to avoid delays. Further updates regarding extended timings at other centers may be announced depending on public response and demand.
