Electricity Restored in Bahria Town Lahore After Rs682 Million Payment

Electricity has been restored in Bahria Town Lahore after the housing administration cleared its outstanding dues of Rs 682 million, Lesco confirmed on Friday.

According to a spokesperson, power has been restored to four Bahria Town projects, including the main Bahria Town near Mohlanwal.

Lesco had cut off supply on Thursday evening after repeated payment reminders. Residents were preparing to protest after Friday prayers over the sudden blackout.

Lesco CEO Ramzan Butt said the payment deadline was extended several times — from Nov 21 to Nov 27 — on Bahria Town’s request, but instead of paying, the administration approached the court.

He said the main Bahria Town project alone owed over Rs 530 million.
Electricity was restored only after the administration cleared the full pending amount.
