Gold prices in Pakistan stayed unchanged on Friday as the market closed at the same levels recorded a day earlier. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the per tola price held at Rs. 426,562, showing no movement.
The rate for 10 grams also remained steady, closing at Rs. 365,708. The unchanged levels follow Thursday’s correction when the per tola price dropped by Rs. 5,000.
On the international front, gold traded flat at $4,042 per ounce, including a $20 premium. Silver, however, slipped in the local market, falling by Rs. 107 to Rs. 5,222 per tola.
Global gold sentiment remained soft following a stronger-than-expected US jobs report, which reduced expectations of a Federal Reserve rate cut in December. Spot gold was last recorded at $4,072.87 per ounce, down 0.1%, while US gold futures for December delivery gained 0.3%, closing at $4,071.90 per ounce.
