The Punjab government has officially announced the dates for the 20th International Cholistan Desert Rally, confirming that the event will be held from February 4 to February 8, 2026.
The update came during a planning meeting chaired by Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen, where preparations for the mega motorsport event were reviewed.
Departments Begin Coordination for Event Planning
Officials from TDCP, district administrations of Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Rahim Yar Khan, as well as police and local coordination teams, attended the meeting via video link. The 4×4 Club President Mahmood Majeed was also present.
Commissioner Jabeen said that the rally is not only a major motorsport attraction but also an opportunity to highlight Bahawalpur’s culture and heritage on an international stage.
Cultural Festivals to Run Alongside the Rally
She confirmed that cultural activities and festivals will be organized across the three districts during the event. These will include local music, handicrafts, and traditional sports to promote regional culture.
