Islamabad has introduced new rules for mandatory vehicle emission testing, with fresh requirements for older cars and more testing centers across the city.
Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon said that only vehicles manufactured in 2015 or earlier must undergo inspection. These vehicles will now require a yearly emission test to stay compliant.

The administration has also extended service hours, allowing citizens to get their cars checked every Saturday until 4 PM.
To make the process easier, the number of testing points has been increased from one to four. Inspections can now be done at:
-
D-Chowk
-
Lake View Park
-
F-9 Park
-
Metro Cash & Carry
Once a vehicle passes the test, authorities will issue a new clearance sticker. The DC visited all sites personally and urged citizens to complete testing on time and cooperate with teams.
