NADRA has issued a major warning to overseas Pakistanis — especially those living in the UK — after detecting a fake website impersonating the authority to steal personal data. The fraudulent site, operating as “NADRA Card Centre” at nadra.cardcentre.co.uk, is falsely offering NICOP services, ID card processing, and even jobs.
NADRA clarified that the platform has zero affiliation with the official authority and is misusing its name to scam unsuspecting users. Officials warned that any information shared on the fake website could be used for identity theft, financial fraud, or illegal activities. A formal complaint has already been lodged with the National Cyber Crime Agency.
NADRA Also Urges Married Citizens to Update Marital Status
In a separate advisory, NADRA asked all married citizens to update their marital status in its database. Many people register marriages with Union Councils but forget to update NADRA records, which later causes legal complications.
The authority has introduced an SMS alert system to remind citizens.
