The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) will establish a new mega centre in Karachi’s Malir district, aiming to reduce crowding and improve service access across the city.
The project moved forward after an MoU was signed between NADRA and the Model Colony Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) for a half-acre site designated for the new office.
During the signing ceremony, Model Town Chairman Zafar Ahmed Khan confirmed that the land has been approved and said construction is expected to be completed within eight months.
The facility will offer a range of essential services, including CNIC issuance, B-Form processing, arms licences, and other registration requirements for residents.
NADRA Regional Head Office Director General Aamir Ali Khan stated that this will be the sixth major NADRA centre in Karachi and is expected to become fully operational within a year.
He added that upgraded digital systems have strengthened service delivery but acknowledged that cyber risks have also increased. He emphasized that NADRA maintains strong security protocols to protect sensitive information and citizen data.
