The University of Peshawar has officially announced its winter vacation schedule for the 2025–26 academic session, providing clarity for students, faculty members, and administrative staff ahead of the seasonal break.
According to the official notification, the university will remain closed from December 22, 2025, to January 3, 2026. During this period, all academic and administrative offices will remain closed, allowing staff and students to observe the winter break in line with the academic calendar.
Exams and Tests to Continue as Scheduled
Despite the closure of offices and regular classes, the university has clearly stated that all scheduled examinations, tests, and assessments will continue as planned. Students have been advised to strictly follow their existing academic timetable and appear in exams without assuming any postponement due to the holidays.
University officials emphasized that examination schedules remain unchanged to ensure academic continuity and timely completion of the semester.
Purpose of the Winter Break
University authorities explained that the winter holidays are a routine part of the seasonal academic calendar, designed to provide students and staff with adequate time to rest, recharge, and prepare for the upcoming phase of the academic year.
They added that planned breaks help maintain a balanced academic environment and support student well-being during colder months.
Classes to Resume in January
Regular classes and administrative operations are scheduled to resume from January 3, 2026. Students and faculty members have been urged to plan their travel and study schedules accordingly to avoid any inconvenience when academic activities restart.
The university has also advised students to stay connected with official university announcements for any updates or changes related to exams or academic matters.
