The Sindh Education Department has issued new winter rules for private schools, banning them from forcing students to wear jackets of specific colors or designs.
The notification, issued on the instructions of Education Minister Sardar Shah, states that schools cannot compel parents to buy winter jackets as part of the uniform.
Additional Director of Private Institutions, Rafia Javed, confirmed that students are free to wear any warm clothing during winter. She warned that action will be taken against schools that violate this order.
Minister Sardar Shah said that children’s health and comfort come first, and no school should pressure parents to purchase expensive or mandatory winter jackets.
