SNGPL Posts 2nd-Highest Profit Ever, Approves 30% Cash Dividend

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced its second-highest profit in company history, as shared during its 61st Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Lahore.

According to the annual financial results for FY 2024–25:

SNGPL’s Profit Highlights

  • Profit before tax: Rs. 24.44 billion

  • Profit after tax: Rs. 14.59 billion

  • Earnings per share (EPS): Rs. 23.01

Shareholders also approved a 30% cash dividend, equal to Rs. 3 per share, for the fiscal year.

Focus on Reducing Gas Losses

A major achievement this year was a reduction in UFG (unaccounted-for gas) losses:

  • UFG reduced from 31,317 MMCF to 30,026 MMCF

This improvement came from:

  • Better surveillance in high-risk areas

  • Rapid leak detection

  • Stronger monitoring systems

  • TBS-based micromanagement

  • Upgraded measurement infrastructure

Other Updates From the AGM

  • M/s A.F. Ferguson & Co. was reappointed as the external auditor for FY 2025–26.

  • Shareholders took part in a detailed Q&A session, and all queries were addressed by the company’s leadership.

The meeting was chaired by Ismail Qureshi, with the board of directors, senior management, and several members joining both in person and via video link.
