Progress on adding two new franchises to Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 has moved forward, with Inverex Solar Group standing out as a leading contender in the bidding stage. If finalized, the company’s franchise is expected to represent either Faisalabad or Rawalpindi.
Inverex has maintained a close working relationship with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and PSL for nearly a decade through sponsorship deals, a factor that may strengthen its prospects in securing a team.
Reports also indicate growing interest from the Aga Khan Group, which is exploring the possibility of joining the league with a franchise potentially based in Gilgit.
Ahead of PSL 11, the tournament trophy is expected to begin an international promotional tour in the United Kingdom. Stops in major cities such as London and Manchester will give fans a chance to see the trophy up close and potentially meet notable PSL players.
PSL CEO Salman Naseer is likely to oversee the tour, with the goal of engaging overseas Pakistani fans and building new commercial ties. Final details of the tour schedule will be shared soon.
