Gold prices in Pakistan saw a sharp jump on Tuesday, with the per tola rate rising to Rs. 436,562 after an increase of Rs. 7,700 in a single day.

A day earlier, gold had remained steady at Rs. 428,862 per tola.
International markets also saw a strong rally, with global gold prices climbing by $77 to $4,142 per ounce. Silver prices in Pakistan increased as well, reaching Rs. 5,422 per tola.
Global traders reacted to fresh expectations of a possible US Federal Reserve rate cut in December, which boosted demand for safe-haven assets like gold. Spot gold touched its highest level in more than a week, trading around $4,140.85 per ounce on Tuesday morning.
The sudden jump has left local buyers and jewellers expecting further volatility in the coming days.
