Chery has officially launched the locally assembled Tiggo 7 PHEV (CKD) in Pakistan, marking the start of its local production era. The move represents a major milestone for Pakistan’s auto industry, as Chery begins manufacturing hybrid vehicles within the country for the first time.
The Tiggo 7 PHEV packs a powerful combination of 342 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque, supported by an 18.3 kWh battery. It delivers a 77 km electric-only range and a total range of 1,020 km, thanks to a 60-liter fuel tank.
Charging options include 40 kW DC fast charging (30–80% in just 20 minutes) and 6.6 kW AC charging, which completes in about three hours.
Inside, the SUV offers a premium 24.6-inch curved dual screen, Sony 8-speaker system, 18-inch multi-spoke alloys, and heated & ventilated front seats. Other highlights include dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, and eight airbags for enhanced safety.
While Chery has not yet announced the official price tag of the Tiggo 7 PHEV, it is expected to be revealed at the upcoming Pakistan Auto Parts Show (PAPS) 2025.
With this launch, Chery is signaling its strong commitment to localized production and green mobility in Pakistan — a big step forward for the local EV and hybrid market.
