Gold Prices Rise Again in Pakistan as Global Market Strengthens

Gold prices in Pakistan moved higher on Monday, tracking gains in the international market.

According to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 1,600 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs. 443,762.

The price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs. 1,372, settling at Rs. 380,454.

This increase comes after a decline over the weekend, when gold dropped by Rs. 2,300 per tola on Saturday to close at Rs. 442,162.

📈 International Market Trend

In the global market, gold gained $16 to reach $4,214 per ounce, including a $20 premium.

Silver prices also moved upward in Pakistan, rising Rs. 30 to Rs. 6,102 per tola.

🌍 What’s Driving Global Gold Prices?

Gold in the international market edged higher on Monday after the US dollar weakened, boosting demand for safe-haven metals.

  • Spot gold traded 0.3% higher at $4,212.70 per ounce (as of 03:19 GMT).

  • US gold futures for December delivery held steady at $4,241.30 per ounce.

The US dollar slipped to a one-month low, making gold cheaper for overseas buyers and lifting sentiment ahead of the US Federal Reserve policy meeting, where investors expect a possible interest rate cut.
