Jordan’s King Arriving in Pakistan for Key 2-Day Visit — Major Talks Planned

Jordan’s King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein will arrive in Pakistan for a two-day official visit on the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, diplomatic sources confirmed. A high-level delegation will accompany him.

High-Level Meetings

During the visit, the Jordanian King will hold separate meetings with:

  • President Asif Ali Zardari

  • Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif

Talks will focus on boosting bilateral cooperation, especially in trade, investment, and economic partnerships.

Gaza Crisis to Dominate Discussions

Officials say both sides will also review:

  • The situation in Gaza

  • Progress on the Gaza peace accord

  • Ongoing Israeli aggression

  • Prisoner-exchange developments

  • Possibility of foreign force deployment in Gaza

The visit is aimed at strengthening Pakistan-Jordan ties and supporting broader diplomatic efforts in the Middle East.
