In a major announcement for Pakistani students, the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) has opened applications for the 2026–2027 academic year, offering 75 fully funded scholarships for BS, MS, and PhD programs.
This initiative aims to strengthen educational cooperation between China and Pakistan, allowing students to pursue higher education in top Chinese universities.
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan will serve as the nomination agency, responsible for shortlisting eligible candidates under this program.
Under the CSC program, selected students will receive full financial support, including:
-
Tuition fees fully covered by the host university (education, administration, and health insurance).
-
Free accommodation in university dormitories.
-
Monthly stipend as per CSC policy, based on the degree level.
All selected students must complete a one-year Chinese language preparatory course before starting their main program. Both Chinese and English-taught programs are available for master’s and PhD levels.
Applicants must be Pakistani or AJK nationals (dual nationals are not eligible) and must meet all CSC and university eligibility criteria, including academic performance and language requirements.
The application deadline is Monday, January 5, 2026 (4:00 PM PST). Candidates must submit two online applications — one on the HEC portal and another on the Chinese Scholarship Council portal — otherwise, they will be disqualified.
